I loved this museum, you should all go next time your here… I even got a private tour, so cool. I hope you agree with me about the color palette in this film. I love the deep saturated crimson mixed with that Gauguin indigo. Another main point is the ornate decoration, again with the recycled theme I’m going to try to recreate that in the headdresses.

Feild trip time….

1st stop the Met:

Lots to look at, took me all day… most fascinated by the african and Indigenous peoples art. I’m experimenting with getting fabric and twine to have the look of grass skirts and masks. I also love the piece that looks like sequined fabric on a wall… It’s really just bottle caps. I like the idea of recycled, however I don’t want it to look like your wearing a bunch of garbage :) Cool moment… As I was walking home down 5th Ave, Bergdorf Goodman was changing their window displays, they looked just like where were heading.. So I guess we’re off to a great start.

Hello All,

Guess what?

I’m working on a new project! I’ll be making costumes for this crazy, awesome, new band’s first music video! They’re called MANIAC, check them out, they’re pretty rad if I do say so myself. So, join in and follow along with my “creative process”. The band will be as well since they’re in California/Australia and I’m here in the BK. I thought it would be way more exciting to blog my way through all of the steps. Plus it should be a cool way to look back at everything when we’re all finished. Stay tuned….
